Samhain (or Savain; both are basically pronounced /sa-wen/) marks the beginning of the Celtic winter. It comes a week after Hallowe’en, the eve of All Saints Day, when (some believe) all departed souls of the preceding year are finally freed from earthly ties and the veil between the Here and the After is at its thinnest. We see this as a time of reflection and celebration of the people and events in our lives that have influenced us.
This year, we will perform a dumb feast for our loved ones that have passed over. Please bring pictures of your loved ones or object links to place on the altar. The feast will be in silence. The doors will close at exactly 8 PM, and no one will be admitted after that.
This is our only closed circle. If you have not been to our celebrations before, you may not attend this event, but are welcome to join us at our Yule celebration.
